I don’t know about you but I’m starting to get bored with the idea of dinner & movie dates. There is SO much that the City of Oaks has to offer and it’s right at our fingertips. So get creative and try something new – whether that’s a new restaurant, bar or activity – see everything that Raleigh has to offer!

Layfette Village – Get your little black dress on & travel to another world in this European-style village. Located in North Raleigh, Layfette Village gives you a taste of Italy / French architecture & offers locally owned gourmet restaurants and upscale shopping. My personal favorites are  Driftwood (check out my blog review here) &  Vinos Finos for Spanish tapas.

The Raleigh Times  Raleigh’s timeless local watering hole features carefully hand crafted, creative takes on classic bar fare favorites. A great spot for first and second dates with a delecious view of the city from their rooftop patio!

Processed with VSCO with p5 preset B U K U – Downtown Raleigh’s Global Street food!  Buku offers fresh, fast, affordable downtown lunch with healthy options like their Peruvian Hokkaido Diver Scallop Tiradito, Empanadas, and Indian Aloo Chana Chaat which can be found on the street corners of Lima, Oaxaca, and Delh. Enjoy cocktails  & conversations with their appetizer and small plates menu, or dive in to their silver and platinum dinners which feature thirteen cuts of beef, lamb, chicken and pork! 18 Seaboard Housed in downtown Raleigh’s “Shops at Seaboard Station”— a repurposed, historic coastal train depot— 18 Seaboard is a top-rated Triangle go-to destination for cuisine, service, and hospitality. Not only is their food to die for but so is  the roof-top mezzanine seating that boasts unmatched views of Raleigh’s skyline!

Movie & Local Brews at the ALAMO Draft house Cinema – Like I said before, I’m a little sick of dinner and movies dates, but this is the exception. My boyfriend and I checked out Deadpool 2 at the Alamo recently and had a blast. Before going into the movie we picked our favorite local brew to sip on while we shopped vinyl records in their store. In the actual theater they have a waitstaff that caters to your every food & drink desire! Be sure to try their Herb Parmesan popcorn it’s amazing.

Level 7 & Bowling– This date idea is next on my list! Enjoy the sunset over tapa style bites & elegant cocktails at Level 7’s rooftop bar in North Hills, Raleigh.  Then when it gets dark, walk over to Kings Dining & Entertainment for some friendly or competitive bowing against your S.O.

Massage & Cocktails– The Umstead Hotel and Spa  in Cary is named one of the top 50 hotel in the world by Condé Nast Traveler (pictured in header). So if your looking for that special date and really want to drop a buck or five – opt in for a couples massage and simply enjoy a glass of wine overlooking the lake before heading to dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, Herons.

I hope you find something new for you and your partner to enjoy! That’s all for now!
