Every year the City of Raleigh plants acres upon acres of sunflowers along the Neuse River Greenway Trail. However this year, they were planted in Dorothea Dix Park to bloom between mid June and early July. Earlier this week my best friends and I went to the park for a GOALFRIENDS photoshoot and some IG worthy snaps.
The City will harvest the sunflowers to create thousands of gallons of biodiesel, which is then processed into fuel to run tractors, trailers and farm equipment! How cool! The field of tall, golden flowers is expected to be in peak bloom from approximately July 4-17, and then possibly still in viewable condition for another week or so depending on weather.
So here’s my blog about the beautiful Sunflower Field & the lovely photo’s curated from this weeks shoot!
